Hola Rodolfo, It was a pleasure to read through your beginnings and your writing. I’m a Canadian living in Baja California Sur, Mexico and it’s wonderful to welcome a fellow Canadian to my LinkedIn Network. You are a tough guy, with a lot of grit, I take my somberro off to you. Saludos,

Hi! John. I’m humbled to join your LinkIn Network. And thank you for accepting me and for reading my blog. I read your Posts even before I connected with you. They were readable and well said. And the Fish Fish Fish … was a treat for they reminded me of the small fishing village in the Philippines were I was born and raised. We had fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I never got tired of having them.

My maternal grandparents were fishermen. And they way it looks, you love to fish too.

My passion for writing was a shocking discovery. I took a course in writing by correspondence to improve my knowledge in English. Grammar was and still is my biggest weakness. It was a mistake for the course was about fiction, and didn’t cover the basics of English. I went through the whole process just for the heck of it. Somewhere in the middle of the whole exercise, I discovered that I enjoyed writing and could stand the rigor – pushing myself to the limit – enduring physical pain and mental strain.

I wrote my debut novel – 67,000 word count – in eight months as a school project. I was awarded a diploma with highest honours. Before that novel, I submitted ten short stories.

I wasn’t keen on having it published. Not yet anyway. Since September of last year, three quarter of my time were spent on research – social media and other sources. The remaining one third were on actual writing.
As of now I decided to write and less on research.

Thank you for listening. Enjoy and catch more fish. I went to Barbados twice. The last time was eiight years ago during the baptism of my twin grandaughter. I was there for two months enjoying the best fish steaks – dolphin, shark and king fish- i’ve ever tasted. The flying fish were awesome too. Take care now. Bye.
